i saw in another thread horney reccomending boiled linseed oil, and its great stuff! well wortht the 3 quid from BnQ IMO

My favourite at the moment is Chemical Guy's New Look Trim Gel. Just make sure you work it into the trim with a cloth/applicator, leave for 5 minutes and then buff off any residue.

I've had a go today with black shoe polish (deep black polish - scuff remover) which is 89p from Morissons, and comes in liquid form with an applicator pad at the top of the bottle. Looks fantastic on the badly faded big bumpers on my Mk2 in the dry - we'll see how it holds up in the showers promised next week!

So far it's a lot better than anything else I've used, but I haven't splashed out on the expensive stuff yet.

Chemical Guys Gloss works for me ... but its very shiny and after a couple of heavy showers you'll get rain marks on your trim. Other than that its A1.

It's all abou tth eboiled linseed oil. Been on for nearly 6 weeks and looks fresh still despite being mullered in a monsoon for 3 hrs on a tack day. You can't get much of a brutal test than that!

done this on 3 cars now with GREAT effect,

removes all the CRAP out of the bumper ( even after a soak with guys special juices  :laugh: :shocked: )

even removed white stains  :shocked: :sick: .

You might want to wear old clothes and rubber gloves cos the crap that comes out stains clothes.

then a quick re application a week later.

What i decided to do as i was so sick of applying back to black every bleeding month!

Was:

I went to my local B&Q and purchased my self a couple of nice Black spray paint cans (For plastic obvs)

took the side trim off and masked the rest gave it a good old spray and guess what....looks brand new and i haven't touched it in over 6 months :)

RESULT!!

Linseed oil got my grey wavvy effect bumper nice I recomend it.
