It's all abou tth eboiled linseed oil. Been on for nearly 6 weeks and looks fresh still despite being mullered in a monsoon for 3 hrs on a tack day. You can't get much of a brutal test than that!

Couldn't agree more. Mucky stuff to use and doesn't smell great but brings the bumpers up a treat and seems to be lasting well too.

shoe polish has worked the best me for overall but considering giving the heat gun a go.

I've just bought a mk3 GTI and the once black vinyl bumpers, trim and rear spoiler have all faded a bit. Is there anything I can get to revive the black and get it back to what it once was?

Use Morrisons own scuff remover, I used it on mine and my bumpers were light grey!!!

It takes a few coats, but it works wonders! And its super cheap!

I still stand by morrisons scuff remover!

Yeah I do mine every 10,000 miles its called 10w-40 used engine oil works a treat ! :shocked:

I find the best thing is to spray WD40 onto a cloth, rub it lightly over the bumpers/mouldings/door handles etc and just leave it. Brings everything black up like new and it acts as a water repellent when it rains!!
