Oil takes quite a while to reach optimum temperature, only realised that when I fitted an oil temp gauge to my P1.  Also there was a sticker on the inside of the scoob saying that after hard driving let the car idle for a minute before switching off.  Assumed it had something to do with the turbo, probably the same reason people fit turbo timers.

....I'm sure I read somewhere that the Mk5 GTI has a 'turbo timer'. T_T? - Where is he when we need him? :wink:
