No more mods for my ED30
« on: 07 September 2008, 20:42 »
...because I have brought something else to play with: -

It's a 91 8v in need of some TLC as the red paint is looking more pink in places and has a couple of mechanical niggles.

3 previous owners and a full stack of history including all service receipts/invoices and every previous mot.

Ive always wanted to have a MK2 as a project car, fancy myself a nice little white one.

Best of luck with the project, I'm sure it will look great once you've given it some TLC.

That was also the first thing I thought too, but unlike RR's, which in real life (and Horney's pics) looks great, this on in the flesh needs a proper going over with the megs G220 polisher.

White, grey and red where the colours I was on the look out for, all the white ones I found where either too expensive or had been molested too much.

This was the first original one I found for a very good price.

Get rid of it before it breaks down, even if it carries on working, it will also be damn hard work on VW paint. Get yourself a rotary, they are soooo much better. You have to be careful and keep it moving so the paint doesn't get hot, but what fantastic resuts in a lot less time.
