Looks good, is there not a danger you end up needing to spend loads on it and becomes a bottomless pit?

nearly got a mk2 this weekend, then test drove a new S3  :lipsrsealed:

....I've developed an unhealthy interest in the new S3 Sportback - What did you think of the S3 you drove?

well i thought exactly what i expected..... 1 step up from the gti, it has everything the gti has and does everything the gti does.... but better  it feels alot better made, interior looks more darker and seems be be of a better quality, 260bhp standard, didnt seem faster than my car but didnt feel slower either, after reamap and a few other mods it would be a seriously fast car with the 4x4 action

test drove a white s3 with dsg, and i know what dsg stands for now...... dog sh!t gearing

anyway my saving has started

GTI MK5
Not the only GTI...........but the best! ; )

No offense robin but you spoke about going off topic in threads and here in a thread about a MK2 you start asking opinions about S3's which we all know will most certainly change the topic as we have 2 S3 owners here and many that want one...

The MK2 looks great. Give it a good detail and lower it and it will be an absolute minter. Just wish they were more common here in SA. You cant find them anywhere.

....No offence taken, Mike. You will note that I haven't continued the S3 subject in this thread. Earlier I had expressed an opinion which criticised people going off topic for numerous posts, just just a couple.

Back on topic, I think that Phil is keen to get a Mk2 - It seems there plenty to be had.
