replacing the pas belt yearly solves any wet weather steering issues (mine dosent have any splash gaurds fitted but steers fine when wet and thats due to a new belt for £4 every service)

Mine was changed in February with the Cambelt (Major Service plus K&N  ) And its slipped in the wet then and still does today! although I have bearing issues and now possible CV JOINT as you mite have Bradley!! Let me know how that goes by the way? (Moaning noise upon steering)

Engine in mine feels good for another 100,000 easy. everything else is starting to wear out tho!

Clutch (High), Suspension (Noisey, Bushes?), Door handle

Minor things tho but with a company car coming she mite be turned into a Rally car (toy for the weekends) Just cant decide what to do

TURBO?????? LOL

I drove mine through the floods we had in Northern Ireland the other week and my ABS light has been on ever since, but drives fine other than that.

wd40 all over the sensor and wires should solve that issue....

and lee i would buy another belt and make sure it is properly tentioned as mine slipped in the wet but since my new belt with good tention i've never had an issue even in the worst wet weather (well except the current one!!..oh and its too wet to have a good look under today but i will post my results on what i find!!)

Im sure I have that under engine cover, and my PAS still slips when VERY wet. Even with a new PAS belt 2 months ago.

I need to find one of them PAS belt covers also

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water....

My car packed in after going through a puddle down Twesledown road!

Coil pack has cracked! :(

I'm now considering, fixing it, selling it, staying away from MK3's as the tow truck driver said he had to go pick up another MK3 just a bit further down the road with the same problem! And this also happened to my old one! :(

Will be sad to see them go though!

Mines got an aversion to starting in the mornings now its wet- it's not damp plugs etc, it seems more like damp in the intake, as it  takes ages to start, then when it does, it coughs and splutters for a couple of minutes, then gets going properly-it's fine for the rest of the day after that

I'm thinking injector seals, (have checked the breathers and they're ok)but can't see how to get the rail off, any ideas?
