hurdy , is it not possible for you to write some sort of letter from GOLFGTI.CO.UK on behalf of the many ed 30 owners who are feeling a little pissed off about this ?????? and i think the time has come for as many as possible to write to vw at the address above

I agree a group letter would help.

I think sending it to the UK MD and copying VW Germany is the way forward.

i will sign that

Well I have had some success in the past with complaints to VW UK so would be more than happy to put something together on behalf on the ED30 on here?

....No, do it the other way around - VW Germany are 'senior' to VW UK so send the original to Germany.

Well that your opinion and I will put your reply down to one of those that can just be taken out of the context that perhaps you meant

I believe that as the original "limited edition" concept of 1500 vehicles for the UK market is a VW UK statement and that as all of the promises of plaques have also come from VW UK, we should in the first instance direct this to the UK senior management as we have failed to receive a satisfactory resolution from the customer services dept.

Jumping the change of command doesn't always get the right or quickest resolution to a problem.

....Yes it is my offered advice and opinion and of course not something you are obliged to agree with. I see your logic but are you convinced that VW Germany would have no say in this matter of official VW Edition 30 plaques? In my many decades of corporate experience, going to the top gets results. I'm of the opinion that VW Germany are the more fruitful ones to approach but.....I'll butt out.

Why not send an identical (except address) communication to each and at the same time, rather than copy one? [Just trying to help]

good news
Thank you for your recent email in relation to the Golf Edition 30 plaques.

I would like to advise that to obtain the plaque, you must order it through any Authorised Volkswagen retailer.

Thank you for contacting Volkswagen UK.

Yours sincerely
