Discriminating on us 1999 mk4 drivers
I can offer a Fusion to the AGU owners, but i dont want to promote it too much yet, as the chip will have to come in and out a few times to get the remap right which can be a pain in the back side when remapping mobile, (plus it would wear out my new lynx can) It is not a problem to do it on the rolling road as we will put another ECU in the car without the map chip fitted, instead the ecu will be linked direct to a PC via a loom of wires which will allow real time emulations. The PC will do the job of the flash chip
The Bosch ecu PCBs dont like the chip to come in and out too many times as it can loosen the solder pads with the constant heating and cooling. We used to use chip in Psop44 carriers so the chip can clip in and out, but this also caused hassle with dry joints. But good news, I am in talks with Frieling-Racing who make the tool for the Custom Code Boys, The tool will allow me to write to the AGU ecu via OBD, the only down fall with the tool is the price tag and it cannot read the AGU ecus.
