Rear door sensor
« on: 20 August 2008, 18:47 »
So I was in the VW garage today, booked the car in on Tuesday to have the rear door sensor sorted out.

the guys told me I have to pay £47 for an inspection before they'll do the work?  Am I being fleeced?  I know what needs doing to the car?  Feels like he's taking me for an idiot.

What do you think the chances are it isn't the sensor?  I don't mind ringing them to say I don't want the inspection.  But I'll look stupid if I'm wrong and it's something else :)

Shall I just tell them I know it's the sensor that needs doing?

Couple of things.  When I lock all the doors from inside, for example, when I get over 10mph, all the doors lock, but the rear nearside door lock goes down, then pops open again, every time.

When I push the button the lock and alarm the car, all the doors lock, but the lights don't flash, and I'm fairly sure the alarm isn't arming.
