Can you stop please !
« on: 18 August 2008, 22:22 »
There have been a number of post on here tonight and recently disturbing me greatly.
Can you stop posting up your mpg and bragging about getting over 35 mph.
If you get 15-20 then you are a hero big respecty.
IF you get 20-25 your still doin da biz.
If you get 25-30 you shudz be questioning your commitment.
If you get 30-35 big shame u must dooz better.
If you get 35-40 Get yourself a diesel your dragin r rep down

So then TC, which category do you fit into then?

For me it between "you shudz be questioning your commitment." and "big shame u must dooz better.", average daily commute of 150 miles last week @ 31.2mpg (if I get out of bed on time) or 28.8mpg if running late as normal.

I filled up last week and the projected mileage read 220miles to empty. The tank is between 12 and 13 gallons, so even if I only divided by 12 that would equate to 18.3mpg

As the trip computer goes on your previous results I must be in the 15 to 20 bracket. I don't know whether I'm proud or embarrassed! :undecided:  :embarassed:  :embarassed:  :embarassed:

I agree Top Cat, having owned a gti ed30 now for 6 months I can confirm you really have to drive like an old granny to get anywhere near 30mpg.grin: I dont do a lot of long journeys where you can see the better mpg, but on a trip to liverpool the other week i managed for a brief period 29mpg until i hit the toll road where it plummeted in a few minutes back down to 21mp, where it belongs.....
you want good mpg buy a bluemotion!
