alpine cd changer mp3

i got a alpine cdm 7892r headf unit and want mp3. can i get a cd changer that reads mp3's and run it on a non mp3 head unit. ???

yes, Alpine make a 6 disc CD changer that supports MP3. they're ?165.99 from cel-direct

nice, but can a non mp3 head unit support a mp3 changer? like can i get all the track names and folders up on the head unit and navigate etc

you need to look at your manual, but yes, I know most Alpine cd players have this capability to support the MP3 changer....

cheers for the link btw, cheaper than i'd found anywhere! not that i can afford to be spending on ICE when i need mechanical stuff doing!  ::)

I bought a Sony 10 disc changer from a friend of a friend a year ago with a reasonable sony cassette head unit all for ?100.

Nothing special about it, just your standard 'available in all good halfords stores' style changer, but it suprised me by faultlessly playing mp3s!  The head unit just display "Disc 7 Track 37" etc...
