Question about RCA's
« on: 08 August 2008, 21:18 »
Hopefully this is a quick one!

I've been wiring for an AMP over the last few days (taking time in my lunch hour etc which is why it's taking a few days!), tonight i popped the headunit out to connect the RCAs and remote wire, so far so good.

My Headunit manual says connect the first pair of RCAs to the Front Speakers and the second pair to a Sub / rear Speakers.  Now at the moment i only have an active sub so i have connected it to the second set of RCAs.

I assumed that when my 4 Channel Amp arrives next week along with my seperate Sub (basically i'm connecting Components in the front and a Sub in the boot to this amp) i'd only have to run one pair of RCAs to it.

Looking at my headunit diagram i think i assumed wrong!  Am i going to have to get a second set of RCA's to connect to the amp for the components?  In my own head i assumed it was one set of RCA's per AMP......

Help i'm really confused as i have never had an amp etc before  :embarassed:
