....Slightly off-topic for a moment, but would you have removed all your mods for selling, Stu?

Yes, completely back to standard.

.... Including the fuel pump and relocated DV?

Of course, why would that shock you?

....Just because it seems a lot of work and hassle (and cost). Surprise rather than shock. Personally I couldn't be bothered to put mine back to standard.

Selling a modified car can be a problem, main dealers generally won't want them from you.

....I can understand that. I guess that most salesmen at dealers wouldn't have a clue what they were selling if still modified.

Methinks that a well modified car, if well maintained, will find a better home privately even though it may take longer.

Car looks like like a minter!! If your relly after an R32, go for it, no negative feedback from me. I also made the move from a GTI to an R32 and dont regret a single bit of it!

Yep but I would need to sell mine first...wouldn't hold out much hope in the current climate nothing seems to be moving very quickly at the minute.

I am seriously shocked at how cheap that R32 is. A year ago I was looking at the MKIV R32 and had seen some going for more than 15k. So 15k for what is essentially a 20k car is an absolute bargain... and the beauty of it is that people assume that its alot more to run than Gti! The prices seem to have dropped incredibly just on the fact that people assume petrol prices are going to continue rising at the same rate they have done over the last 6 months... Which I just cannot see.

A cracking car!! I would buy one myself if I didnt already have one!!

Hurdy could sell his ED30 buy a minter manual R do a turbo conversion and hardly lose any money especially if he is going to do the clutch pack on his.
