Power is useless without control!

It's all about driveability and not big bhp, imo.

I've had mine dialed back to just over 300bhp and similar torque and I'm not suffering from the dreaded clutch slip at the moment, so all is good.

If anything it is faster from the off, but a lot slower at silly speeds. More useable though.

I phoned JBS at the beginning of the week and they are struggling to source a clutchpack  and without it I'm stranded at 300 bhp

How does this link in?

Well, DSG is touted as being stronger than most people thought and I would generally agree, it is just that you have to be prepared to spend your way out if things do start needing upgrades....and that can be relatively expensive for most people to stomach.

When it is all sorted though, 340+bhp, LSD and DSG may just see some good times at the pod

Changing the panel filter on the engine cover is easy enough, but it is a lot more fiddly than most other cars. The cover is held on with 4 stays and you have to release the connection to the MAF and piping down the left side of the cover as you look at it. Also, the connection to the air feed needs to be removed.

Once off, you have to remove about 8-10 screws then open it up and then change the filter and obviously re-assemble.

On the old 1.8T it took a couple of minutes. You need about 10-15 for the assembly on the TFSi

Guys guys guys... I 'm not going daft, don't worry.
The stage 2 (from what I can gather) will only be giving me a few more horses and is really just being done so it can tie in with my Milltek properly seeing as I have it. Plus it's only £50, so thought I may as well.
I'm certainly not going any further than that for most of the reasons that have been mentioned. So no fuel pump etc (for many reasons) as I am quite happy with what i've got.
Just though for £50, it seems I may as well..

Hello pal, I'm suprised you can go stage 2 without a fuel pump, I'd have thought you would need it to supply the extra fuel pressure needed to go with extra boost, ignition etc.

Nah thats not the case. The car does need an uprated fuel pump to take full advantage of the code but it works ok with the stock pump too. The ECU does compensate for lack of fuel by dropping boost to stop the car running lean. However you DO need an intake upgrade for stage 2.

Ben - Please tell me you are going to put in an uprated panel filter

Edit: There will be stage 2 + for those of us fortunate enough to have uprated intakes, full uprated high flow turbo back exhausts, uprated intercoolers and the uprated fuel pumps. It has not yet been developed on a UK car though.

TBH can't really see the point of doin it then if your not going to make the most of it, but I also understand that Ben's in an unusual position that his ED30 is a company car so things are a bit different

....My understanding is that if it's a Revo, you need their Stage2+ with an aftermarket fuel pump.
