Whats that Dimming thing called around the Wing Mirrors?

I had those on my 1st GTi ,05 laser blue one and that had the luxary pack with has side dimming mirrors with the black surround.The mirrors without these ie, like my 07 GTI AND edition 30 didnt have lux pack 2 fitted and DONT have them. They are great at night and wish my ed30 had them.

So whats meant to be in the Lux pack (without hijacking the thread)- thinking I've been done here - told it had Lux Pack and mirrors definately fold in.

Wonder if the side mirror has been replaced at some point

Maxamus - On mine no black surround on passenger side.

Just been on the VW configurator - no mention anywhere of dimming side mirrors only rear view mirror.  It says following about Lux Pack:

"Luxury pack - Electrically foldable door mirrors including reverse activated kerb view adjustment on passenger door mirror"

Maybe they were discontinued - probably more cost cutting along with the non-colour coded plastic bumper...

Just to confirm I have plastic surround on both mirrors and they both dim ! 

They dont seem to dim as much as the rear view mirror so its easier to test in daytime by putting your finger over the light sensor on the back of the rear view mirror - from the drivers seat reach round the back left and you will feel a indentation, put your finger over it and the rear view will dim and so will the mirrors - if you have them that is like me

Neg - what year is yours (looks like an ED30), so suspect UK supplied too.  Anyone know if dimming side mirror is part of another option pack - as it appears not to be standard on 07 GTI or part of Lux Pack

Its an Ed28 (28th year) - 2005 and has every option available.
