In a couple of words.... Copper B@stards...

They are over officious and zealous eager tossers who try their damnest to achieve their monthly pulling targets

Meanwhile, the blind old fecker who pees his pants whilst driving, cant see for his bi-focal glasses, cant judge the speed of the road and steps on his brakes at the merest inflection of a fly on his windscreen whilst reaching for his Wuthers Originals, who most probably is also still drunk from the night before on whisky or furniture polish gets away scot free whilst causing total chaos and caranage behind him....

Alternatively and in my calmer moments of reflection......the traffic cops are lovely people and its only the very few who spoil what would be an otherwise untarnished barrel of apples.

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

A friend of mine is a (non-traffic) policeman in the North East.

He admits to being a terrible driver when he's driving his own car. Recently he got pulled for speeding (and it was serious speeding, something like 50 in a 30 or something like that).

Anyway - the cop who pulled him actually knew him, gave him an absolute b*llocking for about 15 mins. Didn't book him in the end, "discretion is the better part of valour" I suppose, but hopefully it's taught him a lesson.

Im sure it would have been different if it was just joe public driving. one rule for them.. another for the rest of us! No offence to your mate but if he is a copper and is driving at that speed in public then he really should be in trouble more than any of us deserve...

....No, not necessarily. The last two times I've been stopped it was for well over 90 and on the last occasion I was followed for about 10 miles. I didn't get tickets or fines but was driving 'text book' style as trained. Discretion was used in both cases, I'm very glad to say. It has slowed me down in the UK though!

50 in a 30 would almost definately get you points if not a ban if you were pulled by a kn0b jockey like I was. I can see the reason for discretion being used on a motorway as conditions can vary quite a bit. but on a 30... I cant see anyone getting away with that tbh.
