PLEASE HELP! I've f**ked up my car!

if the wires are shorted out then yes, thats what they are there for.
If it was just a voltage spike the probably not

So I take it I have to see if any of them have gone and replace them and see if it happens again? If it does, what does that mean I have to do?

I'll look at the fuses first thing in the morning, thanks for the advice, a question though, if some of them have blown and I goto replace them, wouldn't the same just happen?

if they blow your wiring must be incorrect.

Ok so first port of call is to check the fuses and get them replaced. If happens again, should I disconnect the amp from the battery from the battery?

if they blow again you will have to check the wiring to that component. probably likely that they all share a common earth. check the wiring diagram

i know how you feel. tried replacing my wishbone the other day and was defeated by a knackered bolt leaving the car undrivable. was only meant to be a simple job

took me ages to get my sub workin then it would just stop. so i went back just to keep lookin to see and it wernt till my smart ass missis came a long and said about the frount fuse. so i changed it and tighten it and then it worked. think of it as learnin thats wot i do if i mess up then every1 on here really helpful and wanna help.
