rear brake upgrade

so i was talking bout this in another thread

and everyone aid i hould get the 256mm rear dics like the r32

do i need anything else apart from the 256mm discs or will i need everything like i did when i did the 312mm fronts???

the 256 mm rears are a totally different calliper to the existing one, so you'll need the caliper / carrier, discs, pads you'll need a bigger splash guard too

Get them brand new at stoopid money or get them from the following cars

MK1 Leon Cupra
MK1 Octavia VRS
MKIV Anniversary

you can use the ones from the R32 and TT but you'll then need spacers

as Rhyso said best bet is from a breakers, although the discs, pads and splash guards can be picked up cheaply new

thats why i did it too - was cheaper to get a 2nd hand setup than buy new discs and pads  :smiley:
