  • Back in a Mk3...
Right my current issue is with my brakes...basically they are fine with a progressive pedal when its unloaded but add weight in the back and the brakes are much higher up the pedal and feel more spongy.. could this be another bleeding problem as i had fun last year with trapped air in the rear calipers! I know there is the load valve out back but does this need something doing to it when bleeding? It was pressue bled but we didnt do anything with this valve...

sounds like something to do with the brake balencing valve on the rear beam might have air in the system but the load is effecting this valve?!

Is the car lowered, this can make a difference with a load in the back as the load valve is then confused.

Usually you would notice that the rear locks up more than it would have before it was lowered as the valve puts more brake bias to the rear as it thinks there is a load in the back.  Maybe if it goes lower than this when a car is lowered and has a load ion the back the system may not be able to cope?

mine has abs and a valve thats next to the axle  (where the bush is on the passenger side) that looks very like a load valve and it does push against the axle by some sort of rod thing?
