Too many SPECS cameras in Nottingham I seem to recall. M1 without the straight bits

So if the air con is turned OFF the MPG is increased, better than being in ECON mode?

I think when ECON is on AC is completely off. The OFF button turns the whole system off, fans included. No AC = up to 10% better fuel economy 

ECON is compressor off - 4-5% saving at best. Not worth bothering about until fuel gets to £5 litre (probably September ). Always run mine to keep the system lubricated. More costly not too. System also provides filtered and dehumidified air in the cabin.

Where did you get those rings from? I noticed them ages ago on Vortex but never found out how to get hold of them.

I have an idea for them. I was thinking. Thje rings with Gti engraved in red on the smooth sides. Maybe twice. But need a set first before I can send it in to a fellow engraver.

Or perhaps just give Gulf the idea. He has easy access to the machinery.

oh yeh, specs all over, and speed cameras were the specs arent !!!!
