black smoke indicated oil burning. correct me if im wrong. white smoke means too much air in mixture and blue smoke too much petrol in mixture. Correct me if im wrong though, cos im not 100% sure.
But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
The best way to see how bad the problem is, would be to wait untill it smells real heavy of petrol and then carefully remove a match..........
