I know the hall sender is on the side of the dizzy....but the wiring also splits on these giving an error code
does it run ok??

Yes it seems to run ok ish - its been standing for 3 months so we expected it to run a little lumpy - It revs quite well past 5000 rpm - I will check the wireing on the side of the dizzy - hopefully its just a short thats giving this fault code - will let you know!

Just noticed  - The car has had a new dizzy fitted recently & I heard someware on this site that if the timing has been played about with and not set up correctly it will show a hall sender fault - but not sure :undecided:

If the dizzy is miss timed that can give a hall sender error as the readings are out of its limits... could be worth checking the timing

Me mate is coming over at the weekend with his timing gun -not sure if it will find too much wrong as the old girl runs sweet - we will have to wait and see!
