After talking about it for ages I thought I would show you guys what 1.8turbo engine conversions have been carried out by myself and the guys that I am recommending for people to go to get done!

Please note that apart from the wiring on mine (because I lost their numbers) everything has been done at either Bens (bolf owner) or James (tt g60 rallye owners) garages, by everything I mean everything!

Conversions done:

1) Big Bens Bolf:

Was a 1.4e (base model, same as mine) now has a 1.8t non remapped arz lump that has been rolling roaded at 233bhp (just been tuned and tweaked by ben the owner). Full r32 leather interior & clocks, Bolf front end conversion, coilovers, 19" a8 wheels, black roof, the list goes on!

2) my mk4:

1.4e to 1.8t plus all the mods, you guys know that my car is obviously the best and for all mods check my project thread:

3) James Bangs G60 mk2 golf 4wd rallye

started with original 1.8 supercharged lump, since he blew the charger he swapped it with his  TT BAM lump (KO4 turbo) emerald management tuned by James to 289bhp

4) Ians Rallye g60 mk2 golf 4wd rallye

same as james but with a s3 apy lump, running similar power (still working on getting this done, waiting on new radiator to be fabricated)

5) Coles Mk4 4motion s3 powered 1.8t (ko4)

(originally with 2.8 v6) now powered by s3 apy lump - 4wd mk4 1.8t (this may be one of the only ones in the country)

Oh and that is my front mount on there - he didnt have twin intercoolers with the engine so he bought that off me, I havent got around to buying me a new one yet!

pics of coles conversion:

The legendary garages! This is where all the magic happens!

The main trio:

Just thought it would be interesting for people to see what cars we have actually done and just to back up all the claims that I have made that these guys know their sh!t and if you want a 1.8t conversion done (esp in mk2/mk4's) they can do it in a week!

Comments very welcome!

yes because the s3 is 4wd too, the s3 gear and transfer box fit, some pipes need to be fabricated though, exhaust and boost pipes.

KKE1 you know where we are mate ;)

So it wasnt the 4motion runnin gear you used, hmmmm sounds expensive!!

Get gearbox with the s3 lump dont you ;)

and then you still have a 4motion engine and gearbox (same as r32) to sell and make money back, the reason you cant use the 4mo box is because the holes dont line up on the gearbox to engine
