RCD Removal tool, trim tools required!
« on: 12 April 2008, 09:41 »
Does anyone know which tools I need to buy to remove the RCD300, and where to get them from online?

Also a plastic type of trim removal tool would be good so I wouldn't have to use a knife and risk damaging any interior parts. And cutting myself. It hurts.

I swapped my RCD300 over for an Alpine single DIN stereo.
All I needed was 1 torx driver (I think it was a T10?) and I used an Apple tool for working on laptops for removing the trim carefully.
Simple enough job - just time consuming.

Obviously I had a VW fascia adapter too, to convert to single DIN... with a storage pocket.
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.
