Welcome to the 2.0ltr crew mate

My car has been remapped.

It has gained 10bhp from it but the best gain is the loss off the lag at low revs. Picks up straight away now.
Realy pleased with it. Also the fuel economy has improved.

cheers for the friendly welcome, really lookin forward to gettin the golf up to scratch.  Just can't decide whether to go Audi wheels or aftermarket???

RS6 Wheels for £50!! i'd love a bit of that!!

yep another snail crew member reporting for duty! to be honest i've been there with the VXR and now i'm lookin forward to 380miles to a tank and making the golf look nice.  Granted for a 2.0l it's a bit gutless but it's nippy enough for a bit of fun.

jamm89 i think a remap is def on the cards, just to give it that lil bit extra over standard.  Is that with uprated exhaust?

Hi Lewis, welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do to get mega power without spending £k's.  However they're are some cheaper options to extract some more ponies, which could see you to roughly 145/150 bhp:-

I would do the R32 DSG airbox mod (have a search for this) along with a panel filter, exhaust, maybe a sports cat (if they do one for your application & budget allows) & then finally the re-map to optimise all your extra goodies.

Then next i'd look at the suspension options + the Eibach rear ARB & maybe the 312mm front brake upgrade to improve your 'point-to-point' pace.  :afro:
Current Car:- 2014 GTI PP manual, white.

Make way for..... 'The Silver Bullet'! 227 bhp, KO3-S'd AGU, R-TECH Spec 2 map 8), Forge 007P, Blueflame Turbo-back, Eibach -30mm's, YellowStuff front/RedStuff rear pads, Goodridge braided lines, TT Short-shifter, R32 Dogbone, TT W/B bushes, Forge TIP, G60 fly/VR6 clutch, 5.5 ltr washer bottle,
