gearbags!! mint made me giggle  sorry  :embarassed:

Just a little Blackie-ism LOL

Can anyone confirm if its true about the diesel gearbox?  Will I need to change the flywheel/clutchplate?  Apparently the diesel gearbox input shaft is splined differently?

if its got the some colour cap it will fit. The cap is by the drive shaft, passenger side. mk2 1.8 gti, i found to be the best for my car, its got a closer ratio and a lot more acceleration its also a lot stronger i should know my missus is learning to drive . the box cost me 70 quid with clutch.  if you get a diesel box you definately will have to change the clutch and flywheel. hope this helps you.

The clutch plate needs matching to the gearbox so diesel, and the flywheel and pressure plate should match the engine. That's what I was told when I put an 8v box on my 16v mk2 :)

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08
