OMG - another brilliant road
« on: 27 March 2008, 18:00 »
Right then,

There have been a few posts of good roads to drive in the past, but this ones going to be a sticky if it takes off.

Try and post pics of nice strips of tarmac if you can too

Been said before and I'll say it again - The A57 snake pass and it's now even better since most of it has been re-tarmacced.

Also found a lovely bit of black stuff coming up out of Hathersage over to Ringinglow.
Fiddlers Elbow the road starts off as (GOOD NAME )

Here's a pic looking back down the hill.

Come on then, get your roads and pics up.

I use that bit of road a lot Hurdy (fiddlers elbow) it's my regular route from over here to any of our sites between Sheffield or S c u n thorpe.  It's actually quicker than using the Sat Nav to get across country.

Yes it's quite a well known road ... fantastic both in scenery and to drive on.

I'm sure it's been used by 5th Gear and Top Gear also at some point.

I do belive I have "got me knee down" on that bend in my biker days!!!

It was difficult finding a good left-hander and made a change from scratchin the local traffic islands.

Excellent road!!

BaJ, your car in Tornado Red looks cool, and that bit of road looks great! I bet you had a window down to listen as you floored it up there?!
