Welcome,

A remap makes such a difference, factory like power delivery but just that little more!

Local REVO dealer is SportsTech, Illkeston but like others say there are other choices too.

I am local if you want me to show you the difference

PS does the revo switch remove the revo ?, or just turn it off like the APR ?

hello (1st proper post)

i've had my car just over 3 weeks, i've allready had it remapped
it was allways in my budget and came from a remapped MK4 so knew what to expect
i ended up going for a ChippedUK map, had considered GIAC and CustomCode and had a Starperformance and a ChippedUk map in my MK4
on the whole i'm very impressed, should be at least 245BHP
felt the fuel cut symptom for the 1st time last night, doing about 120 in 5th (private runway of cource)
have an uprated DV to go on when the weather gets a bit better

had a switchable map in my MK4 and can honestly say i switched back about 3 times in 3.5 years and that was only to remind my self what the standard car felt like. Also my VW warranty ends in May so rude not to get it mapped

Chipped UK (OptiCAN) TFSi map isn't one of the better ones I've seen and I think you'll be very very lucky to see 245hp on decent rollers, that said it's each to your own and if it puts a smile on your face then who cares about the rest of it.

REVO isn't removed by the switch just adjusted or switched off.

I am around Derby

Sports Tech - http://www.sportstechltd.co.uk/  There's a map and directions link.

As Stu said, it switches back to a standard based map.

I am now interested in how the ChippedUk map isn't rated by you, what did one make on a RR if you can remember?
not that i'm sticking up for them regardlessly, i had a bit of a mixed experience this time with ChippedUK
i wasn't happy with the 1st map that was loaded, took it back the following week and i am now happy with the 2nd map that was done. I suppose that it's possible that there are plenty of people that would have been happy or just put up with their 1st map

also most MK5s from what i have heard and seen for myself are up on the  VW quoted 200bhp so 245bhp shouldn,t be difficult to reach in my mind and would be surprised (going by my arse dyno ) if it's less than 245bhp

Here you go -

Same car but a more recent run where the car now has the AutoTech Pump fitted and CUK Stage II software but it doesn't tell all of the story as the AFR was all over the place.   The owner has since had it removed and has had REVO installed -
