Some fascia's come with a side wall that can be up to a couple of inches deep. The steel cages come with the headunits. :nerd:

You need to see them in the flesh really. Some look pants and protrude too much from the dash, others are a different colour to the dash. It is worth looking around.

The VW one is a decent match as far as fitment is concerned. The matt finish doesn't quite match (like mine), but I guess and exact match is near impossible. I did see one guys fascia who had the good thinking to get some anthracite leather and cover the fascia with it (to match his seats) and that looked lovely

I've got the VW one in mine, it had a divider in the middle so you could fit a single din headunit and a pocket but you just need to cut this bit out. You dont see where you've cut once the headunit is in, it's set back slightly from the front of the facia.
I think the colour match is about as good as you'll get, and the fit is pretty much spot on.
You can either screw the headunit directly to the facia and the fit it to the dash as per the std headunit or you can fit facia into the dash and then secure the steel cage that comes with your headunit to the fasia so you can remove your headunit as normal with the removal pins, so if you need to fit rca's etc and you dont need to take the dash apart.
