Ok.. so 2 bad things happened today

1: i almost cut off my finger
2 the Sump is now no use.. finally given way due to hitting the ground some more

New one is on its way, and iv also found somebody to do my pipe work so ill get this done too :-)

Thought of a shallow sump?

not a fan of shallow ones mate, i hear some horror stories plus i want to keep all the level sensor etc

I want a INA sump but at £300 form the states ill stick with the Vag ones, £40.. yes please  

sump is a couple inch away from floor, not wanting to use spacers on engine as no room, engine cover will not fit on

no non at all, subframe has been know to catch only in very extreme cases tho

What I did with mine regarding the beads. Got some rings made to fit over the ends of the pipe and tack welded them on. Obviously because stainless is harder to put beads on. Weld beads round the end isn't very neat.

Look at getting some skid plates fitted to the sump.

i have found a place who can do the pipe bend (the joys of having 5000 Facebook friends haha)

Right, so the sump was damaged yet again and this resulted in a  nasty crack..

it put up a brave fight and took some serious beating...but it was too bad to even drive the car...

Here you can see the oil seeping out of the crack...it was around a inch or so long



so off it came.. (again LOL)



New Sump





filled with the finest OEM oil and everybody is happy




Next small update will be new Alloy boost pipe i am having made up to replace the damaged silicone item.. dropping it off at the plce who is doing it for me tomorrow
