i think its fair to assume he wants to know how to remove the inlet if he has a polished one?
1) disconnect the plastic air inlet pipe from air box to the throttle body - 1 jubilee clip
2) remove rubber vacuum lines - depending if you have a mk2 or mk3 there will be either 1 or 2 at the back of the manifold
3) undo 3or4 13mm bolts on back of manifold which attach it to bracket which connects to the block
4) Prise the injectors out- they will be difficult to pull out- dont be too brutal with them as you can bend them.
5) undo 8x 6mm allenkey bolts which attach manifold to front of the block - note use plenty of WB40 or similar and be sure to hammer the allen key in to make sure its sat properly before attempting to undo- you really DO NOT want to round these!
alternatively, you can get away with polishing the manifold already in use... pull the HT leads out , put a towel on top of the rocker cover to catch the dust etc and you should be alright.
