Braking mid corner is very good at upsetting the balance of any car.NickI agree but in real world situations traffic etc. the brakes have to be applied round corners, long motorway bends etc, stopping from speed due to some idiot pulling out etc. Having raced go-karts for a few years I understand the methods used out on the racetrack but as we know the roads are not race tracks

It culd be down to simple tram lining due to the wide wheels on the GTi. I would say get your dealer to check the tracking as that may be an issue.Nick
