Sat Nav Fitting instructions
« on: 06 March 2008, 12:50 »
Sorry i know this must have been covered 100 times but i have been searching for some fitting instructions for the MFD2 system and cant find them. :embarassed:

I have a feeling someone has done a step by step guide but either im imagineing (cant spell) it or im looking in the wrong place.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Ben

take to the dealers, it cost me £40 to have my mfd2 with gps retro fitted. hardly worth messing around yourself doing it.

Wow thats a good price... I was quoted £100 +VAT by a company selling the sat navs on ebay to get it fitted by them.

Were the dealers happy for you to supply the sat nav?

I think the worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of charades. Especially if your teammates are bad guessers.

When I installed mine, I just bunged the aerial in the dash, but then it depends if you want the shark fin on the roof!?

+1 on putting the sensor under the dash, I fitted my ebay sourced OEM unit at the weekend and put it in a small space to the top left of the unit, I used a sticky pad to prevent it moving).

I found the whole thing easier to install than expected, but do make sure you have a good trim removal tool. Also put a cloth on top of the dash to prevent scratches when you move the top vent housing.
