Defo get another wire if it is worn badly, shouldn't cost much at all or if you feel like it, buy plain wire of the same grade and make it yourself

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

where do I have to connect it to then? i dnt know what part of the carb it goes into. I got a weber 32/34. any pics would help, if not edit one of my pics that shows the carb and using paint draw an arrow or circle to point out where the wire has to go.

I reckon your easiest bet, is to source another cable, of similar grade and fit new ring fittings to it.  Keeping the one on the tappet cover where it is, just clean the area and then scrub the area of contact with a wire brush.  The other larger ring fitting fit on top of the mounting bolt for the carb, using another nut to secure it.  Just ensure all contacts are cleaned and then scrubber with a wire brush to ensure a good "connection".

It would be a good idea to go over all your grounding points and do this.  :)

Here is an example of a good grounding kit that you can buy.  I took the time to make mine, using decent 8 and 4 guage power cabling for sound systems.

Hope this helps.  ;)

Whilst doing my daily engine check up

Bloody hell. Don't think I've lifted the bonnet on my daily for about 3 months.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

Try get hold of some 8 gauge cabling.  It's a common sized use on entry level sound systems.
