Thanks mate!

well here WE are!!!

Bought the car last year for the pricey sum of £1500 for which i think i got ripped off as the car was a dog, there were plenty of cars for simular money with more spec but oh fcuk it.......i liked it!!!

1989 golf gti 1.8 16V kr block
134k
mk3 vr6 seats
dodgy aftermarket steering wheel
15" borbets
anza stainless steel exhaust system
K&N panal filter

The car has got quite a bit of history which includes rebuilds and tune ups at dubsport, sadly not alot of history  i will get getting the car stamped up to date at the local dealers soon anyway, cant wait to see that bill!!!

ON WITH THE PICS!! i hear you shout!!!

when i first got it

The car had a dodgy black front panal at the front and the bottem half of the grill which soon got sprayed(with halfords cans and a bloody gud job!) along with the mirrors. After i swapped the 4 lamp grill setup for a singles badged one and stuck some smoked cross hairs on..I then put some 80mm jamex springs and shocks, slapped my steffans off my LowMk1' and ran it like this for a year...

The paint work was quite mint with the odd faded patch and paint blemish, with no rust on it too!! i had a repsray anyway!! just because im fussy like that :nerd:

this is the early hours before tatton park, spent two days cleaning, painting..more cleaning none stop...hehe

at tatton..

Sorry these pictures arnt all in order i have never had the time to get them all on-line...i thought i better do it sooner rarther than later as all the pics are buildng up on my computer.... :nerd: :smug:

so after tatton i decided what i wanted to do, my aim is to have it looking ready and finished for tatton 2008

So far i've got loads of new parts like seals and gaskets and service parts.

I've spend most of my week nights working out in the cold, picture below is about half 11 on a wed night...yes my neighbours hate me and im always late for work in the morning!!!

i fitted a 4 branch manifold  and painted the rocker cover while i was doing the oil seals..

just got the gear linkage to fit now..

i had a pipewerx custom exhaust built just before tatton park this year, as im going for the 90's look this year i wanted the exhaust pipe to fit in, so decided on a 3" outwardly rolled tip. Just the other day i sprayed the backbox matt black as i hated the look of the shiney b/b from the rear and the side of the car...

I bought a complete set of decals for the outside which inluded rear hatch, side trims and bottems..

from...

to...

i then sold my steffans and had my bbs ras powder coated with black with red glitter!!! :smug:

Sqweezed some 165 on them and now its prety much up to date...

they are REALLY skinny lol i wasnt expecting bycicle wheels!!!

i ran them tucked and slammed for a while till my car was litteraly falling apart so had to raise it up a bit!!

Plus they've put speed humps near where i work, and i love going to work everyday!!!

ok;

Had a little bump with a crappy girly coloured clio sport. The guy stalled at a roundabout and i went into him. Funny how its his fault yet i loose all my no-claimes wtf!? I would of loved to resort to my boxing days and given him a swift left and right to the chin but i had to grit my teeth and take it like a man!!!

It looks like i need a new bonnet, bonnet catch, bonnet release cable although i may be able to fix that, slam panal, lights and any other little things.

Ok the front never used to look right anyway so it gives me a perfect opportunity to get it all sitting flush and right. The bonnet will need painting which i will get done by a pro, i want the slam panal painting t.red too as i never thought the black looked right. Might have a bash at this myself with halford cans. I wanna get some polished bonnet lifts too which chrome wing nuts and a chrome bonnet catch. Give my engine a little tidy too while im there.

I had to drive it back from work like that, you should of seen the looks i got!!!hehe
