i think you might be mistaken on that. Its not just performance mods as cosmetic mods also make the car more disireable. so more chance of being chored.

if insurance can get away with not paying out they will. you may have just been lucky that time.

If you hit someone with out declaring your mods your insurance is technically void. so you are uninsured.

and never had a problem

if they are extreme mods thn sure you need to be honest but for an exhaust system

id just stick it on an be quiet they really arnt going to notice

your choice but look at it this way.

If you were the third party and someone hit you. both cars totald - their insurance said hell no - the policy is void as he/she didnt declare mods. youd be pretty pissed - no?

i guess thats a risk u tke but to be honest when it comes to tht they often dont fully check them i mean if its tht bad they are not gonna be looking at an exhaust but more looking into what happened

insurance companies dont wanna pay. if they can get out of it (by any means) they will.

its not a risk you take, its a risk that the "uninsured" takes for you and really isnt right.

If the sh!t where to hit the fan, say, god forbid, you ended up killing someone, they would be going through your car with a fine tooth pick and your insurance would be void. Or say you end up proper smashing your car, all your thounsands of pounds worth of mods will be down the drain.

My comments only have your best interesets at heart. Little things here and there like dump valves or filters (come to think of it, even filters) you will probs get away with. Things like wheels, remaps, exhausts, coilcovers I would declare, just me tho.

il be honest if i killed someone who says i will wanna drive again anyway

i jus think for as something as little as an exhaust its not worth declaring in my opinion
i never declare my wheels my exhaust or lowering ect at the end of the day if i have a minor accident i may as well jus replace them myself as well it would probably be cheaper in the long run

eah to there own but they are not as thurah (sp i cant spell lol) as you think minor accidents ect are just not worth there time and money to investigate

Problem is if you knock someone over and kill them and you didn't declare the mods not only will your insurace be invalied but you could be looking at a jail term for driving without insurance.
