I remember the whole compensator thing years ago when all the chavs bought Saxos over here and lowered them; they wondered why they spun so easily under hard breaking

how do you find that film? i tried to do my hella quad covers with some carbon fibre stuff on the bay and all though it was cheap it worked, but shrunk back after a few days, just wondered how this retains its stretched state..

Been a while I been on a forum, but after putting my name down for Ultimate Dubs and with plans to show at more shows next year, I thought it was time for an update!

So last time I posted, car looked something like this:

Then, I got the splits on (finally).

Couple pre-ED38 pics:

Roof leak got fixed, wheels got cleaned lots, ummmm.... Probably did a load more stuff that I can't remember!

Anyway, after just about making it home from Edition38 the car came off the road. Engine out, vinyl off, car partly stripped... Respray time!
Fitting a G60 box, shorter ratios; diesel box is starting to get a little annoying, whilst its great on long journeys it's just too long for me.
New Vento front end with bumper, new wings, modified rear bumper. Redoing all 4 arches.
Few bits getting re-routed in the bay and loads of stuff being sprayed. The bay itself is getting a little treatment, few bits being cut out, few holes welded up but pretty much staying OEM; not a fan of a mega smooth bay, things should be easy and functional.
Borbets going back on for the winter, although this time I have a pair of 7.5J's for upfront.
Splits all apart for a refurb and I have made some center caps for them now.
Also fit my VR6 Highline door cards and Mk3.5 vanity mirrors (with the lights!).
Re-done/re-taped the loom and fitted new CV boot.
Fitting a Mk4 shifter setup, got all the bits, just whether I got time to get the shifter into the tunnel.

So color! Blackberry Metallic and Campanella White. Both new VW colors, first for body n stuff, second for wheels, rocker/inlet and air tanks.

Few pics of progress so far, not many but I'm more useless these days:

Will be doing more each week if time allows, so will try and keep this updated!

I presumed as you're now with child that you'd given up and bought a Daewoo Matiz or something.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
