Well because of this thread, after years of thinkin auto glym silicone spray was best,  I went to B&Q today and bought the Linseed oil you lot are on about... and I am amazed at how good it looks.  Heavy rain tomorrow I think, so will see how it looks in couple days

Nope... Doh !!  The back one was fairly faded, only normally stays black for few days after normal blacking, the rest were ok...  So will let ya know.   Car did have an nasty smell about it this morning though !!!  :sick:

Ah k.

Yea, can imagine.  I'm lank keen to try out the linseed oil.  :)  It sucks here, 'cos the plastic does get a good bit of sun each day.

ok so tried the heat gun yesterday and OMG :shocked: !!

you can literally see the bumpers/trims go black before your eyes, absolutely amazing!! i aint tried the linseed oil yet but i think that with the heat gun being free (jst a bit of elecy), quick and hassle free from oils etc!

id recommend everyone to use it, just be careful not to touch the bumpers for a bit after ;)

is it really that easy...  after the linseed oil at the weekend, and all the rain we've had last two days, my bumpers are now looking quite streaky..  although I haven't washed it yet..  I'll give it another go at weekend if weather permits

I F**KING told you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Glad to see some one Listen to what i say!!!! :laugh: I bet people will carry on rubing there cars with oil thinking "why does this not work!" by all means put oil on but after you have used the heat gun it makes them like new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
