evening anyone got ideas how to freshen bumpers back up mine look grey .

Temperary job you could do black to black or use silicon.

If you are looking for something a little more long term you could use forever black which is almost like plastice paint can be difficult to apply.

I've heard baby oil works a treat! I used Williams F1 bumper gel, from Halfords and mine came up like new!

I had REALLY grey bumpers when I got my 8 valve and I tried a couple of things like ArmorAll, but it didn't really do much (armorAll actually turned the small area i tested slightly brown!). The best solution I found is CarPlan Black Trim Wax, which you can buy from Wilkonsons. It is a black, wax-like liquid and I was amazed with the results. I wasn't expecting much, but it really did a good job restoring my bumpers. The first time I applied it, I did a coat on a saturday and really spent some time working it into the plastic. The next day I went over and gave it another good coat and it looked brilliant. What is best is that it lasts. I tend to just give it a really quick rub over once every couple of months just to freshen it up, but the final look isn't gloss and it looks natural, so I recommend you give it a try.

the misses works for wilkinsons so i get some stuff from there to try,i have heard peanut butter being used oily apparently any try this .

Forget all this random stuff  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: that is only temp any way and make them like new cheak this sh1t out


just get you hands on a heat gun they only cost £15 then put it on low are hold about 2-4cm away and be for your eye they will go back to new like magic!!!!!! Have fun!!!

The heat gun sounds good but if you make a mistake it's not so easy to fix  :wink:

Black WOW is expensive (£18 from elite car care) but is supposed to be amazing. I may invest in some for the summer - I'll post up the results.
