oil temp
« on: 22 February 2008, 10:53 »
what's the normal running oil temp on an AGG 8v on an 'R' plate. It used to stay around 90-94 but seems to go up to 100 and over when driving normally now. Is this right?

Hmmmmm.

I would say this is too high.

I have a 16v ABF engine.  My temp runs around 84-86 degrees C.

I dont gun it tho.  On a warm day, and when Im on the Motorway, sitting between 70-80mph it will rise to 90 sometimes.

Not sure if 8v engines run hotter or colder than 16v.
