well... when i went to change the standard bulbs to OSRAM bulbs... H1 bulbs, and they fitted in both the sidelight slot and the headlight slot... i remember this because i was playing about deciding whether i wanted full beam from the outer part or inner part...
strange
maybe i dreamt it??

Well the outer headlight bulbs are H1.... so unless that means that they can take h4 too... i doubt it... as h4s are much bigger!

as for the full beam inner ones ... i dont know... check on a website like powerbulbs or autobulbs....

Or ask kenny as he has H1 sidelights??!??!?!?!?!

H1 for both dipped beam and full beam, 501's for side lights.

So im guna have to get 2 sets of the H1s. As they fit the dipped and full beam bulbs.

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT

Arnt H1 not as bright as H4? Or is it purely the fitment?

h1 are 55w where a h4 is 55/60w..but having dedicated lights for dip/main you get a better beam
and h4 are a 3 prong fitting, the h1 is single prong without wire and h3 is single with wire... new cars use h7 buts thats another story

Up untill now i just thought its the fitment thats different...

i think at least about 30% of car models have H1's as headlights...

Just get some decent ones... I got 2x Philips plus ultra vision or something .... claimed they were upto 60% brighter.... for £10 i think.

Theyre certainly very bright and very white!!!

So with 2 pairs, for both beams, it will be bright as i guess. Aslong as i get H1s.

Im thinkin maybe halfords is cheaper than gsf for bulbs?
