im tempted in one of these. Cheapest on ebay is £848.
Is it a straight swap with an MFD2 or do i need any adapters or somit?

it is a straight swap, especially if you already have a GPS aerial.  however you need to buy 2 little leads from VW, which cost me £27, basically converts the aerial leads already in the car to fit the slightly different RNS 510 connections.

how did you get your music onto the internal hard-drive?
Is it removeable to plug into pc ?

You need to make up a data dvd disc full of (mp3's),put that into the rns510 and then store them onto the hdd,or put the same onto a sd card :smiley:

yes you can just burn 4GB at a time to a data DVD and transfer them, or on an SD card, but only accepts 2GB ones and lower Im told.

how did you get your music onto the internal hard-drive?
