removing clocks

dont know if already been a thread cant find it but i need to take the speedo clocks out. how do i do it? thanx

Its really easy, pretty much start dismantling the upper dash.

Remove steering wheel
Remove stereo
Pull heater control dials/levers off
Undo screws to upper and lower dash
Remove the switches for lights, fogs etc.
Withdraw the dash facia, then theres 3/4 screws above and below the speedo holding it in
Pull the speedo forward, then with your left hand, stick it behind the gauges and squeeze the clip for the odo and pull it out, be careful the locating pin doesn't fall out.
Reach under the dash and undo the 1/2 electical connectors off the bottom.
Pull the clocks out.

like blessani said but i'd just remove the steering wheel first to make acess to the screws easier

iv had my dash out a few times now..  i have never taken my steering wheels off.   its prob easyer but i had no probs removing all the screws and putting them back. 

you just have to be gental!!!

I' disconnected the battery to m8 to be on the safe side as you'll be messing with a lot of important wires. I didn't remove my steering wheel but have done in the past and it is an easier job with it off.

ive never tried doing it with the steering wheel off but it is possible with it on still

ok maybe taking the wheel off isn't essential i've not done it with it on but i think it would give a bit more room for access! oh well shows haynes isn't exactly a bible!
