Bigger Wheels vs Bumpy Ride ?

Have you added big fat wheels and tyres to your car  ?
Was it worth it ? or did you perfer the ride before ?

How has the ride quality changed ?

Do you now feel every bump or is it just slightly different to the original set up ?

Well the ride i would say is a tad different and it feels like you lost a bit of accelearation. But after few weeks you dont notice it lol.

   i find the steering jus a bit  lighter only just tho ..... it jus a little bumpier and on uneven road occasionally u will get a slight pull fto one side depends on which side the road is uneven to .... i also find is i got a little bit more road noise too .... but im happy with it wont go back to the little wheels i got b4 ..lol   im running 235/35/19 front and rear

Well with me. I find that u feel things more like bumps and that. Not so much u wanna destory the car lol but a slight difference. Also you hear more noise comming from the tyre. But i belive that because there cheap tyres and more likley to create more noise.

Improved grip is a bonus also.

so would you say the handling improves with larger wheels and tyres ?

I say so. I could feel the limit going around corners with other wheels. But not so much with bigger ones. But cheaper tyres suck

 is pirelli P zero rosso cheap ..... thought they are quite a god make ! what tyres u got then i think the lower profile u go down the more bumpier it gets

I run 225/40/18 and yes it is a bit more bumpy than stock but as 1688bran said you will always get this with lower profile tyres. Nothing too bad IMO - well worth doing

I'd say the wider 225/40 18's had more grip on the fast, sweeping bends (A road surfaces), but not as much agility or acceleration as the 205/55 16's due to the extra 'unsprung' weight.  The 16's are also best for country, B type road thrashes (not as crashy).

Next up for me to try, are some 17's with 215 45's on.
