how do!
« on: 15 February 2008, 20:42 »
hello everyone. i have loved golfs since i was a kid and my neighbours had a mk1 gti, bought myself a mk2 8v gti in 2006 with 170k on it in bright blue met with orig bbs wheels...i totally fell in love, but being a bit unwise and not a mechanic, after a month of ownership the engine expired (heat seizing) and i was gutted  bought a written off 16v and tried to convert the engine with no sucess. i had to leave it on my drive wasting away until i found some cash..........and then i got laid off  i sold the car for £250 and saw it about a year later and it had undergone a total transformation, g60 lump, single light conv, leather etc. it was mint, but i was still gutted  i have not owned a car since i am working but crap wages are a factor. i AM going to but a golf this year a gti or a gtd if i can find one and i think i have just found the perfect site for it.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
