You can get Sony's and JBL's that fit in the dash for £30 - £40. JBL do some that fit in the rears (6x4's). Have a look on caraudiodirect.com and check on here for the free postage discount code.

If your budget is really tight you could consider something like these for the front:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pyramid-Gold-3-5-Coaxial-120-Watt-Two-Way-Speakers_W0QQitemZ280200016717QQihZ018QQcategoryZ14937QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem
I put a pair of these in my winter hack and found some the same for the rear. Ok they probably aren't as good as JBL etc but for under £20 delivered for all 4 they are a vast improvement over the manky old ones. Coaxial with plastic cone and rubber reflex aswell!!!

I would go for a pair of these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JBL-GTO6427-6x4-4x6-PORSCHE-911-944-968-924-SPEAKERS-VW_W0QQitemZ320216585580QQihZ011QQcategoryZ14939QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
and a pair of these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JBL-GTO-327-8cm-3-5-75W-CAR-SPEAKERS-NEW-UK-STOCK-SALE_W0QQitemZ140206051585QQihZ004QQcategoryZ14937QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It pays to get branded speakers, even if they are budget.
