My Car just after it was detailed..
« on: 14 February 2008, 00:44 »
When i orded my car back in November i rang Polished Bliss shortly afterwards and arranged to get the car booked in for a full detail. It was originally booked in for the begining of May so when the car arrived in January that sort of messed things up a little. Fortunately for me they were able to juggle things around and they managed to bring it forward, they currently have around a 5 month waiting list!
I left the car with them last week while i was offshore and when i returned this is what i was greeted with

These pictures were posted on Detailing World by Clark who did the work,

One very happy bunny
Or at least i was until earlier tonight  some dirty wee b@stard drew squiggly lines in the condensation that had formed on the bonnet while it was sitting outside the house, there's now 4 distinct finger lines running right across the full width of the bonnet. Next time i'm heading offshore ill see if i could possibly leave it with them while i'm away, probably wont show up unless it's in direct sunlight or under streetlights but still, very annoying.

very nice! But this look is for exhibition floors, especially as the car is black. You drive it around one day and has lost its shine.  :lipsrsealed:
Waxing is though very important and necessary, once a year.

I've done about 400 miles since it was dont and it still looks pretty good. The shine is still there, given a careful wash it'll look that way again. You need to apply wax more regularly than once a year, most only last about 2-3 months depending conditions and the mileage the car does.

Once you get a car detailed by a guy as good as clark the car is much easier to keep clean. Once a car is detailed the normal wash process only usually takes about 20 minutes, the water just runs off the paint and there is not really any need to dry, although I do anyway  A top up like you say is needed every 4 months and a nice clay here and then and you will have the cleanest car on the road. I would love to have my car done by polished bliss just a bit of a trek for me though, for the meantime i'll do it myself.

That looks stunning! Reminds me why black is the best colour!
I would never have mine done though, would be scared to death of getting it dirty and I'm not one for pampering my car to get it back to how it was.  Looks spot on though kenny.s!!
