Maybe a basic service?
Spark plugs, filters, leads and the like?

Do you mean an oil flush?
I used some Wyatt's flush when I got my car.
Worked well, but I heard that it can dislodge particles that are otherwise keeping the oil from leaking out of various places  :undecided:
Either way, you can't go far wrong with an oil change

Is the car insured at all now?
So you could maybe take it for a run every few days just to keep all the parts moving until july?

first thing is to give the engine bay a damn good clean, get some enginebay cleaner from halfrauds, tape all the electrics up and make sure nothing is showind that cant get wet. then sray copious amounts of cleaner around, then start scrubbing with a good stiff brush, i used several as they soon clogg up, then jetwash the engine down, and repeat until all components and engine bay is shiny, good 2 or 3 times usually does it.

once thats done, plugs leads and oil, general service, but if it aint broke, dont fix it is what i say.

off with the altenator, give that good wire brushing, clean all the contacts up and make it look nice.

could even do the rocker cover while your in the mood, pop it off, and wire brush/sand it down nice and smoothe, then a few coats of hammerite and your sorted.

you may want to replace the air pipes on the top of the head, if their old, they may have perished slightly and probs could do with a change. but like i say, if they dont look too bad, leave them and spend on something else...

thats a bit to be getting on with...

Whip off all the fluid tanks and give them a scrub too e.g. the coolant (will need a flush as well) and the windscreen washer. You could also consider doing the power steering and brake fluids while you've got the time for it to be off the road.

and the fan guard on the radiator, take that off and give it a good sanding and paint with hammerite! or if it was like mine and crumbleing at the bottom cos of rust, go to ECP or GSF and get a new one, give it a coat of primer then hammerite.
