yeah thats the plan! the stitch welding should make a big difference as well. when i was turning the car around you could tell the shell was stiffer when jacking it up just from one arch being welded

tbh it doesnt cost much, it just takes a long time and a lot of effort    if you were paying for the labour then yeah it would be very expensive

i wouldnt like to do it outside though, plus the neighbours wouldnt be that impressed.

well all the above work was tested last night at brands hatch and has made a very noticeable improvement! the car feels more composed in the corners and even though my confidence isnt 100% with it yet it felt like i was lapping faster and with no tyre squeal, which i used to get on most of the corners.

i sneeked it onto the weighbridge at the end of the pits.....918kg with a full tank of fuel!

a few pics pinched from horney anf tjg

H'mmmm, so +2 doors, + 4WD + 280mm brakes + cable-change - 8V - (glass windows - polycarb windows) - ((Scirroco seats +3-point belts) - (buckets + harnesses)) = +~140kg

i also have 280's, and only one bucket/harness setup, the passenger side is still the standard golf setup with seatbelt so weight to be saved there. the arb's i have also add a fair bit of weight.

I should bloody well hope so - can't have people sneaking off, stealing our weights!
