Which Master Cylinder?
« on: 09 February 2008, 01:40 »
Hi guys

Just a quick couple of questions - my '91 spec 16v has decided it's time for a new master cylinder so I went on the GSF website and I'm confused.  Does anyone know if it's the 'BRAKE MASTER CYL-FAG 22mm' I need or the 'BRAKE MASTER CYL-22.2mm?' There's more than a tenner difference so I wondered whether it's best to have the FAG or the extra .2mm......

Also, is it a fairly straight-forward job to replace and can it be done from the engine compartment, or is it an 'under-the-dash' job?

Cheers

Just give them a call and tell them your engine number and get the right one. Get a garage to fit it though. Can cause problems.

Tis easy enough - been there and done that, too.

Make sure you get the brake bias valve open when you're bleeding up.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

they're both the right one just a typo, the only difference is the price/quality.
